Dr. Wolz Darmflora plus URO

Dr. Wolz Darmflora plus URO contains three specially selected strains of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus rhamnosus) as well as biotin, for maintenance of healthy mucous membranes and consequent promotion of a healthy bladder, healthy urinary tract and vagina.* Darmflora plus URO supports the function of the immune system through the vitamin B12 it contains.

Health of the urinary tract

Over 50 percent of all women suffer at least once in their lives from inflammation of the urogenital tract, i.e. especially the urinary tract and the bladder. Pregnant woman are particularly at risk because hormonal changes in an expectant mother’s body make it easy for bacteria to move up into the bladder. Antibiotics are then usually prescribed. At first they cause the inflammation to disappear, but it unfortunately often returns rapidly. A typical reason is that antibiotics not only kill disease causing bacteria in the urinary tract, they take their toll on the vaginal and the intestinal flora too. However, an intact microbiome is the basis for a healthy immune system.
A reason for more prevalent bladder infections can therefore be impairment of the immune system due to antibiotic treatments because a resultant possibly disrupted vaginal flora can give rise to colonisation by pathogens. Recommendation
